A programme of exciting entertainment at the heart of the Town’s riverside, as part of the temporary Pier Road closure and pedestrianisation.

Working with local artists, the programme will see a variety of acts entertain the many visitors this part of Town attracts during the summer holidays. Ranging from solo acoustic performers to jazz bands and even family magic shows, there will be something for everyone.

Coming up in the next few weeks:

Thursday 12th August and Friday 20th August, 1-4pm both dates.

Family magic walkabout and balloon modelling with Clumsy Entertainment.

Saturday 14th August 1-4pm

Will Tierney solo acoustic performer Acoustic Singer performing hundreds of popular songs from 1950s rock n roll to the present-day hits!

Sunday 15th August 3:30-6:15pm

Emma Cranham- female vocalist covering songs from the 50’s to current chart.

Then RRS Music management presenting:

Mollie Parker – Female vocalist, pop covers

Rachel – female vocalist covers from 60’s to chart

Ella Ridley- Female vocalist, pop covers

Tuesday 17th August 1-2:45pm

Becca Huggett – Female vocalist and guitarist performing acoustic covers and own material.

Saturday 21st August 1-4pm

Terry Carvey – soul singer

Sunday 22nd August 1-4pm

Jamie B – solo acoustic performer covering popular songs

In addition to paid performances there is a busking spot outside the Nelson Hotel which has been used by several artists, all of whom have enjoyed it and thanked those who watched them. All buskers are invited to use the space on a first come first served basis, no need to book but the Council can promote if notified in advance.
