Street performances by our youth, community and pro bands.
Steelpan was introduced to Littlehampton in 2005 by Lee Nelson, former Head of Music at Littlehampton Academy. The original band of young players has since grown to the current membership of over 100 players of all ages across Sussex.
Our bands have taken part in European tours, participated in the Music for Youth Schools Prom at the Royal Albert Hall and some of our members have played in the world steelpan championships in Trinidad.
In 2015 the charity Sussex Steel was formed to allow us to expand into other schools and communities across Sussex, but our roots lay firmly in Littlehampton.
We currently run bands for ages 7-70+ both in schools and the community.
Individual session times may vary.
